![]() Yes, the end to end action is great, but the lack of a real board aspect to the game, also takes away from the realism EA is going for. I still think there also needs to be a way to create more board play, as this is also another huge element of every real life game. What really takes away from the immersion, is when you score a goal and the rest of your teammates skate away from you, like nothing happened. How can you not embrace the most exciting part of the game, which is scoring a goal? What I mean by that is, we are still seeing the generic 2 man goal celebrations, which NEVER happen in real life. Just seems like a waste of development time to me. Come on! I don't think hockey and then team mascots. I also am still disappointed that there has been more emphasis placed on animating team mascots, then on post goal celebrations, and I am not talking about user controlled celebrations. This happens in every real hockey game, several times over. For a game that touts realism and being a hockey simulator, I still cannot believe that players can't get tossed out of the face off circle. The game continues to play well and animations were overall solid, but seeing that this is the 3rd iteration of the series on the new platforms, (i.e., PS4 / XBOX One), I feel things getting a little stale. Played the Beta and came away with mixed views. ![]()
